The Amazon Kindle

The Amazon Kindle

The Kindle is a wireless reading device developed by Amazon. It has a a 6' inch display screen and WiFi. It costs $139 dollars and comes with many accessories such as many different covers in different designs. With the Kindle you can read in bright sunlight, and it only weighs 8.5 ounces (the same weight as a paperback novel.) It uses the latest E Ink Pearl technology to better the contrast and make the font easy to read.
The Amazon Kindle is really popular. November 19, 2007 the original kindle was released and was sold out in five and a half hours. On February 10, 2009, Amazon announced the Kindle 2. It became available for purchase on February 23, 2009. On October 7, 2009, Amazon announced an international version of the Kindle 2 that works in over 100 countries. It became available October 19, 2009. Amazon announced a new generation of the Kindle on July 28, 2010. Amazon does not officially add numbers to the end of each Kindle denoting its generation, however it is known to consumers they are known as Kindle 1, 2, The International, and 3.
The Kindle is great for when you travel. Long trips will no longer be boring rides with the Kindle. It can also hold up to 1,500 books. "Transparency + Efficiency of Rewarding Actual Contributors"- reviews a Kindle customer.
